Welcome! I am a broadly-trained paleoceanographer and geochronologist who uses coastal sedimentary archives to reconstruct the evolution of the Earth’s coastlines through time. I am particularly interested in unraveling the history of recent (late Quaternary) sea-level change to better constrain the fundamental physical and ice sheet processes that drive rapid sea-level rise. This is essential for improving our ability to determine how quickly and by how much sea-level will rise in the coming decades due to human-caused climate change. These projections are important for assessing how rising sea levels will impact coastal communities and ecosystems.
